If you’ve been languishing under a rock for the last two years and haven’t had a chance to see High School Musical or High School Musical 2, then this is your lucky weekend! Disney Channel will be airing both movies back to back this Sunday, September 30th starting at 3pm US Pacific (6pm US Eastern).
Zac Efron at Halo 3 Launch Party
[removed by request]
Zac showed up at (and apparently helped host) a Halo 3 launch party at a Game Stop in Los Angeles last night. He also shared his thoughts on violent videogames:
“It’s bull**** that guns in video games cause murders. The last thing I would ever do is hurt another person, and online I probably kill 200 guys a day.”

High School Musical 3 has been announced with a tentative release date of 2009. You knew it wouldn’t be far behind the second one, right? It took what, less than a month? Zac hasn’t yet been confirmed that he’ll reprise his role as Troy Bolton, but has been quoted as saying:
“I can tell you that if the script is good and if we all agree on a final script, then there’s nothing that is going to hold us back from doing it. We have fun making these movies and that’s very rare in this business.”
Rumors are rampant that Vanessa Hudgens would not be asked back to pick up her role as Gabriella Montez due to the nude photo scandal earlier this month, but Disney says:
“Vanessa has apologized for what was obviously a lapse in judgment. We hope she’s learned a valuable lesson.”
I can’t tell if that’s a yay or nay but I can’t imagine them trying to make a movie without these two — they’re the whole point! I really hope the rumor about her replacement, Adrienne Bailon, is untrue.

Zac Gets Punk’d
This is a few months old but I hadn’t seen it yet. Ashley Tisdale helped set him up and Zac looks like he’s about to have an accident near the end there.

How about some Zac Efron basics?

~ He graduated high school in June 2006.
~ He and Vanessa Anne Hudgens met during casting calls for High School Musical when they were continually paired up (the powers-that-be must have seen the chemistry that early on!).
~ His favorite cartoon is Rocko’s Mondern Life; his favorite gum is Orbit; his ringtone is the theme from Rocky; his favorite movie quote is “I’ll be back” from Terminator 2; his favorite TV shows are American Idol and World Series Of Poker; his favorite book is Busting Vegas by Ben Mezrich.

Zac Efron Doll Maker

This is really cheesy and almost a little scary, but if you’re really bored you can check out this “Zac Efron Doll Maker“. There’s also a Vanessa Hudgens doll maker linked near the bottom but it’s probably not safe for work (and an Ashley Tisdale and Brenda Song). And here’s another. Knock yourself out!
Big Money for High School Musical 3
September 19, 2007 by Heather

The National Ledger has reported that the stars of the High School Musical series could be getting a pay raise for High School Musical 3. The source says the lead characters could demand and probably get away with $3-$5 million each.
The first HSM movie grossed $100 million and the second was the most watched basic cable telecast ever. I’d say they’ve earned it!
