Zac Efron is in Australia this week for the Down Under premiere of his newest movie, 17 Again.

He hit the red carpet last night (this morning?) in a suit and tie and looking understandably tired! After about an hour of signing autographs and posing for pictures, he was joined by country singer Taylor Swift who had performed in Melbourne earlier.

17 Again is about “a guy whose life didn’t quite turn out how he wanted it to wishes he could go back to high school and change it. He wakes up one day and is seventeen again and gets the chance to rewrite his life.”

It premieres in the US on April 17th.

Zac Efron was out and about in Sydney, Australia today, having taken a ferry around the Sydney Harbour. He did some sight seeing for a bit before heading back to his hotel.

Not looking much different than when he left Los Angeles yesterday, Zac Efron touched down in Sydney, Australia today.

Vanessa has apparently had it with paparazzi after pics were taken of her and Zac in a Sydney hotel room:

“I mean, put yourself in my situation: people who you do not know taking pictures of you in your own room! It’s obnoxious and invasive, and I don’t know why they would do it.”

Zac, Vanessa and Ashley were in Australia last week for the HSM3 premiere and as usual sat down for an interview.

As often as they ask about it these interviewers sure seem to get a kick out of Zac being “astounded” by his fans, don’t they?

Vanessa also talks about being kick boxed by a kangaroo on her last visit Down Under (which Zac apparently thought was hilarious!), and the weirdest merchandise she’s found her face plastered on.

While in Sydney for the HSM3 premiere, Zac, Vanessa and Ashley took a little time off and hopped into a water taxi on Sydney Harbour to head to Catalina Restaurant.

According to Oz Music Scene, Zac is laying low while in Sydney, aside from the usual media events.

“I’ve been here more than most people I know, but I’ve never had the chance to just hang out. I just want to have fun this time. I’m not going to tell anyone what I’m doing, but it’s going to be hanging out and there’s going to be water close by. I always love going to Café Sydney for a giant seafood platter,”
